1. Go to www.linklearncertification.com, the IRS VITA testing website.
2. If this is your first time to certify with VITA, click on “Set Up New Account.” You’ll need to create a login and username.
(If you certified before, you can use your existing login.)
* This is an IRS website. The staff at Foundation Communities cannot access your username and passwords, so please keep track of your login or use the password "help" function on the website if you need to retrieve your information.
3. Click on "2019 Volunteer Standards of Conduct - Exam." When you see the pop-up window, click "Launch." Then you can “Start Assessment” and answer the questions.
Tips when using the testing site:
4. Client Liaisons and Translators: When you have passed, return to the home page of the site and click on the next assessment, the "Intake/Quality Review exam." (One exception -- If you are an ACC ASL Interpreter Intern, you do not need to complete the "Intake/Quality Review exam" and can skip to Step 5.)
5. Return to the home page. On the right-hand side, click on the box for electronic signature and then open the “volunteer agreement.” The volunteer agreement (Form 13615) is proof that you are certified to volunteer. Send the agreement to the Volunteer Coordinator.
6. Print a copy to give to your Site Manager at your tax site. You must bring a copy to every tax site where you choose to volunteer the first time you volunteer at that site.
